Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen was born in Porto in 1919 and came from an aristocra- tic family. Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen died in Lisbon in 2004 and is today regarded as Portugal‘s most important contemporary poet. At the viewpoint dedicated to her you will find not only a bust and one of her poems about Lisbon, but also a great place to have a coffee in the afternoon and enjoy the view over the city. There will be build a museum at with her name at this viewpoint. The Sophia Museum will be viewpoint and exhibition in one: There is a exhibition and an atrium for exploring the words of lisbons most important contemporary poet and also a plattform to have a great view above lisbon city.
